Pay Attention

This is a video developed by the jordan school district that I like to call an “awakening” for teachers to understand how much technology students use in their world.

I just finished watching the video. I loved the idea of using cell phones to text another person to get data to use in class. What a neat way to learn! I know more and more students have cell phones, but not everybody does yet so I’m not sure how realistic this is to do in an elementary school?? I guess the teacher could always use their phone to get the data if not all the students had one.

I thought cell phones were prohibitted in classroom, but I guess for educational purposes it was a great idea. If every teacher thought of things like this many of the students resources (cell phones) could be used for these puposes, maybe rules like these wouldn’t exist. great post and video. thanks Jason
