I thought cell phones were prohibitted in classroom, but I guess for educational purposes it was a great idea. If every teacher thought of things like this many of the students resources (cell phones) could be used for these puposes, maybe rules like these wouldn't exist. great post and video. thanks Jason

I enjoyed seeing a real world example of the site that you created for your class. Will prove helpful as I begin teaching within my own classroom.

Menmoth creates an interesting persepctive of the future role of teachers in preparing for education in the future. The concepts he discusses are unfortunately primarily "foreign," both in being from outside the U.S. and in concept to the education process we are burdened with.

The website titled Mr. Ellis was very beneficial for students who are taking chemistry classes because it gave some assignemnts and other teacher websites. On Mrs. Rose's teacher website, it gave several different links to Advanced chemistry, AP chemistry and chemistry today and they provided helpful information. Sometimes I struggled with different chemistry concepts and I am sure this would have been a beneficial website. I really enjoyed your Stoichiometry tutorial and Woodchurch Science blogs as well. These were helpful blogs and they were very interesting.

I just finished watching the video. I loved the idea of using cell phones to text another person to get data to use in class. What a neat way to learn! I know more and more students have cell phones, but not everybody does yet so I'm not sure how realistic this is to do in an elementary school?? I guess the teacher could always use their phone to get the data if not all the students had one.
